As government agencies embrace digital transformation projects to gain efficiencies and provide improved customer/citizen services, there has been a dramatic increase in the development of customer centric strategies.

However, any customer centric strategy must include very clear understandings of who the customer is before driving down into how best to engage, support and assist.

Demographics and Geodemographics are incredibly important tools and used across Government, however generally within select government roles and within specific siloed units.

This session will define the difference between Demographics and Geodemographics, using several global examples of their use over time, before diving into more detailed examples to demonstrate:

• Their use in customer profiling
• The potential efficiencies in customer persona development
• Usage in the validation of assumptions
• Improved understanding of customer personas across teams
