Ultimately, given the pace of change and the complexity of the challenges involved, the most effective way for governments to respond is through continuous innovation in their policy and regulatory frameworks. The primary goal in this paper is to examine the federal government’s current innovation agenda and policy measures through the lens of this research and its main findings in order to assess where we are in this process and to propose new initiatives to fill the gaps and complement the policies that have been adopted.
