Virtual Event: Intelligent Transportation Systems

Innovative Next-Generation Transit for Faster Commutes, Less Congestion, Lower Emissions and Stronger Communities

Thursday, May 20, 2021
Start: 12:00pm ET / 9:00am PT

Agenda Overview:

Public transportation is the backbone of Canada. Intelligent transit means less congestion, faster commutes, more convenience, higher productivity and lower emissions. Developing integrated, efficient and sustainable transport systems has become a top priority for leading municipalities. To support this, The Federal Government recently announced $14.9 billion for public transit projects over the next eight years, which includes permanent funding of $3 billion per year for Canadian communities beginning in 2026-27.

Yet against this backdrop, the impact of the pandemic on public transit has resulted in reduced operations and ridership, and overall financial losses. How can we collaborate to overcome these challenges and forge ahead to reach modernization goals?

Building transit takes decades of continuous planning, design and delivery. That’s why it is important to build effective transportation systems that are cost-effective, sustainable and scalable. Join us at the Intelligent Transportation Systems virtual event to network, benchmark and collaborate with your peers. Gain concrete tools for strategic planning and system delivery through case studies and lessons learned from projects across the country.
