Agenda Overview

Australia’s infrastructure industry has experienced significant growth with billions in funding and new projects underway and planned across road, rail, airports, ports, defence and utilities. To best deliver efficiencies and economic benefits these new Critical Infrastructures (CI) are becoming increasingly interconnected and interdependent.

This interconnectivity, especially without proper safeguards however creates vulnerabilities which then, either deliberately or inadvertently, become a catalyst for multiple failures in a cascading effect that jeopardises our economy and national security.

As more CI becomes increasingly interdependent, how do we identify the weaknesses to uplift security and enhance resilience across industries to prevent and/or mitigate the effects of natural disasters or man-made attacks?

To help answer these questions we’ve put together the complimentary Critical Infrastructure Protection Virtual Event which brings together local and international CI security professionals from all levels of government to share security management preparedness and response case studies and insights.
