Virtual Event: Applying Patching for Government

Resolving, Preventing, Containing and Detecting Security Vulnerabilities with Best Practice System Patching

Tuesday, May 11th, 2021
(Start: 12.00pm ET / 9.00am PT)

Agenda Overview:

In today’s highly digitized environment, and with cybersecurity threat vectors becoming increasingly more sophisticated, patch management that can help resolve, prevent, contain and detect security vulnerabilities has become a cornerstone of effective information security.

Vulnerabilities in technology are always being discovered and in response, vendors regularly issue security updates to plug the gaps. Applying these patches closes vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them. More than this though patching ensures you’re getting the most from your IT through bug fixes, feature updates, and stability.

Ultimately patching remains the single most important thing you can do to secure your technology, but with many government organizations using outdated and unsupported computer software, as well as operating legacy systems, the process of applying a patch can become a vulnerability in and of itself.

To help your department best manage information and network security we’ve put together Public Sector Network’s Applying Patching for Government virtual event. The event brings together local and international cybersecurity experts and has been carefully curated to provide attendees practical insight on best practice system patching processes to help manage and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
