“We need to turn the recovery into a real opportunity to do things right for the future.”

UN Secretary-General António Guterres

Creating partnerships to build a safer, fairer, more sustainable world for us all

The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand socio-economic development strategies, integrating education, health, social protection and employment with environmental sustainability. Now more important than ever, these goals provide a critical framework for COVID-19 recovery.

Taking place soon after the UN High Level Political Forum in New York on 6th – 15th July 2021, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Forum will showcase ideas from across the world stage and bring together a range of stakeholders from government, industry, academia and NGOs. By coming together, delegates can create cross-sector partnerships which help drive measurable impact and advance the SDGs in Australia.

Join ‘UNAA (NSW)’ on 20th July to review the current progress made, strategise our future focus, and celebrate high-impact initiatives helping to advance the SDGs across Australia.

Reasons to Attend

Join breakout sessions with other cross-sector attendees from NGOs, Government & corporate who have a mutual interest in achieving specific goals

Form teams to ideate specific strategies on the day, building a foundation for prospective cross-sector partnerships in the future

Continue the conversation after the event with a member of the UNAA Sustainability team who will coordinate ongoing communication and mutually reinforcing activities
