Cities are growing at a rapid pace, demanding a more innovative approach to responding to incidents. Even before COVID-19, urban environments have always been vulnerable to a broad range of threats such as natural disasters, digital intrusion, infrastructure failure, fire, crime, a changing climate and the growing threat of terrorism.

The Public Sector Network’s Safer Communities Roadshow will hone in on strategies to ensure cities become safer over time through responding to, preventing and mitigating emergencies, and promoting community safety through effective and proactive policing.

It will provide the platform for collaboration and communication in driving forward a strong and innovative community safety and emergency response framework, equipping attendees with new ideas and strategies to improve and accelerate their agenda, highlighting successful case examples of emergency response to complex urban safety issues, and essential strategies for ensuring civic safety through best practice community centred policing.
