Public Sector Network is offering a virtual training piece perfect for vendors looking to work with government agencies and departments.

We are excited to invite you to our first virtual in collaboration with Terry Charman of Mainline Solutions.

It can be difficult crafting the perfect tender or proposal to show you are the right supplier for the job. This course will help you understand the foundational principles around developing an effective tender or proposal. It covers the different types of tenders, considerations and provides practical guidance on how to draft an effective tender.


Terry is a senior executive with more than 30 years experience leading and managing a diverse range of functions and teams, in the public and private sector, and extensive experience in business development, strategic marketing, procurement, policy and regulation, business problem solving and development of innovative, client-focused outcomes, including eBusiness and eLearning. Terry has an entrepreneurial approach to business balanced by risk management in line with corporate and strategic business objectives.

In partnership with Public Sector Network, we are offering a workshop on Doing Business with Government. The workshop draws on a wealth of experience in both government procurement and commercial business development and is based on a proven methodology that has been used successfully many times, resulting in more than 2 billion dollars’ worth of business for our clients.

Our approach is to make the training both informative and practical and we will provide you with several tips and tools which will help you going forward. We use discussions, scenarios and exercises to assist with the learning.

The first session is on Tuesday 23 August 2022 and deals with:

  • Getting your strategy right – which deals with how you can target your government prospects; and
  • Developing your bid – which includes the planning and preparation stages of a tender response or proposal.
